Mexico’s Pemex to increase investment in 2022

Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) will significantly increase operational investment in 2022, mainly in the safety area, its director, Octavio Romero Oropeza, informed in a press release.

The official is in Tabasco to deliver equipment for public safety, maintenance of sewage networks and civil protection in the state.

Romero Oropeza stated that such increase will be mirrored in the social benefits provided by the entity, but did not give details.

He did recall that in the last three years Pemex has achieved a substantial increase in the exploration and production of onshore and offshore fields in the state.

He pointed out that with an investment of 40.9 million pesos (two million 150 thousand dollars), Pemex delivered 21 patrol cars and 15 equipped drones to the Secretariat of Public Security, two vactor-type drainage units to the State Water and Sanitation Commission, and a tanker vehicle with a special fire-fighting pump.

The operation of the Mobile Medical Unit specialized in mastographies also began, with which there are now eight in the state of Tabasco for general medical and dental consultations, ultrasounds, electrocardiograms and health promotion workshops, in addition to the free delivery of medicines.
